  • As part of its medMS funding program, the non-profit Hertie Foundation is once again offering scholarships to excellent students of human medicine who are working on their doctoral thesis on multiple sclerosis.

    The deadline for applications is June 30, 2022.

  • Schmidt Science Fellows, in partnership with the Rhodes Trust, seeks to create a new generation of scientific leaders through a combination of a postdoctoral fellowship of $100,000 a year and workshops at some of the world’s leading universities, as well as individualized mentoring.

  • With the four-part remote event series “International mobility funding options for doctoral candidates”, the TUM-GS, the TUM Global & Alumni Office, the TUM Global Liaison Offices São Paulo and San Francisco, as well as the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) provide an overview of various funding options for international research activities of doctoral candidates. All doctoral candidates at TUM and interested persons are invited to the event series. 

  • TUM students are invited to take part in an online one-day hackathon in the biomedical field. It is organized by the Biomedical Engineering faculty in the Technion, Israel, TOM (Tikkun Olam Makers) and T-hub.
    The hackathon plans to bring together students from diverse academic backgrounds and nationalities to find solutions for medical challenges while implementing engineering and design approaches. 

  • All doctoral candidates that started their doctoral projects in 2017 or later must attend, as part of the qualification program, the "Good Scientific Practice" seminar. This seminar is offered by the MGC on a regular basis, takes three hours and is taught by the professors of the faculty. You can book the seminar through your DocGS account.
